I just moved into an apt that has wood floors... I have two kitties and I found out that swifter sweepers can kill them! Does anyone know any good cleaning products that are not to expensive!

  1. get environmentally friendly cleaner; it's good for the earth, for your family, and for pets!

  2. Murphy oil soap is the best. I use it on all floors because it is safe for cats. It took me a long time to put together my cat throwing up and the Pine Sol I was using, I just though cleaning day upset her! It was the soap she licked off her paws. The Murphy's soap is totally safe.

  3. a wet towel for most days & wood oil for special occasions.  consider using rugs.

  4. My neighbor friend has beautiful wood floors and she has always used Murphy's Oil for her floors and they grow in beauty every year because the oil keeps the wood preserved so much better than those expensive "green" products.

  5. Use plain old water with a bit of soap. Not too much though and make sure you don't get the floor too wet.Almost a dry mop.Wood and water don't mix well! But you don't need to go to a commercial product for wood floors
