After attending college/university and obtaining a undergraduate degree (Bachelor's) you may apply to graduate school. Graduate Schools are generally much more focused and intense as opposed to undergraduate and if completed you achieve a Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Science (MS).

Beyond this someone may also get a Master of Research (MRes) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil). After a Master's, graduate school also encompasses doctoral programs, Ph.D. Ed.D. etc.
