  1. Can I ask why it has to be expensive? If it's not for a special occasion, I can personally recommend Kerby Lane Cafe (esp. the original location on Kerby Lane). They grow their own vegetables on a plot and then use it to make their dishes as well as fresh salsa - at least, they used to. I've heard mixed reviews on East Side Cafe, and you can also try Mother's Cafe over on Duval.  Hope you find what you're looking for.

  2. Try checking out the list of vegetarian restaurants in the area on VegDining.com.  Reviews will help you decide.  Here's the link:

I hope this helps!  Good luck!

  3. I really loved Martin Brothers on Guadalupe

    and Tom Tabooley's by UT

but I cant find their restaurants online

I know you can get their grab'ngo stuff from Whole Foods Deli

also check out Soular Falafal there too

  4. Here are some different ones:

  5. If you want something real fancy, Wink is good and the chef will prepare vegetarian and vegan dishes on request that are supposed to be really good (you have to ask for it though, as they don't list it on  their menu).

Green Pastures is also another fancy one that usually has at least one vegetarian entree on their menu.

East Side Cafe is good, not quite as fancy, but usually has several options.

Most non-vegetarian places will have at least 1 vegetarian entree.

If you want to eat at a 100% vegetarian restaurant, the nicest one is probably Mothers in Hyde Park.  (Since Cosmic Cafe and Nu Age both closed down recently).
