  1. go to mcdonald's.

they put toys in their meals

  2. Here is a site on Montreal restaurants. you can browse by location or by type of cuisine. They will tell you the average price per meal and you can read comments from people who went there. I don't really know what you are looking for, so have a look yourself!

  3. Depends what you like really...

And also, 20$ including tip and drinks?

Here are some of my personal favorites, i hope it gives you at the very least some ideas...

    1. Mango Bay (Carribean Food) Montreal

-I have been favouring this restaurant lately.  the jerk chicken is great and don't even get me started on the fish soup...the meals, i would say are an average of 13$ a plate (excluding tip and drinks) I believe it's on Bishop near Guy Concordia.  here is their website:

    2. Bocci (Italian) Lasalle

-Great Pasta for less than 20$ a plate (the best thing on their menu however is the lamb, but that's 35$)  The pasta is fresh and terrific.  The average price for Pasta is 15$ a plate (excluding tip and drinks)  The environment is great, low lights, very romantic.  Well as romantic as you can get for the price.

    3.  3 Amigos (Mexican) Montreal

        - About 15$ a plate.  It's Mexican, it's loud, not quite romantic but more so than the guy who suggested McDonalds.  Okay, so you don't get a toy, but the birthday boy will get a free sombrero.

    4.  Stash Cafe (Polish)  Old Montreal

-15$ a plate.  This is my personal favorite. It's exotic, it's like being in a lodge and the food is not something you can get everywhere and it's really good!  Homemade perrogies.  Yum.

    5.  The Gate to India (Indian)  Montreal3

        -  I love indian food too, depending on what you get you might be able to keep this under 40$ total (again excluding tips and drinks.)  it's a cozy restaurant, small.  i love how authentic it is and is one of the many reasons i think this is the best Indian restaurant in town.  At least here, for 35$ (for 2 people) you get a soup, salade, your meal a dessert...you just don't stop eating so it's the best value for your money.

I guess i will end this here.  If you have any questions email me.  It is a tough question to answer because i don't know you, your likes or your personality.  Either way, I hope you guys have fun!  Never be afraid to try new things!
