Any Bell helmet I have ever had has made me look like toad from Super mario. I want something a little less mushroom top. anything exist, maybe more expensive stuff? I will spend a few bucks on a new helmet, I never fall so I am not worried about breaking it.

  1. lol i know how you feel. well i recomend to check out your local bike shop. they should be able to hook you up with something much less poofy. if you dont have a shop around you check out danscomp.com or other sites online. i recomend protec or 661

  2. I really like my Giro Xen...I have had a couple of them over the course of 3 years...Protec and 661 make more of a bmx or all mountain helmet. Giro helmets are considered some of the best in the industry and they really have a good look to them...no funky mushroom top...

oh I forgot to add that im really rough on my helmets.

  3. I love the bell influx, and it is actully cheaper than most other helms (giro, LG, etc.). Bell makes good helmets, you just need to try differnt models. As for your comment that you never fall, just becasue you haven't fallen in a long time, does not mean it won't happen, plus helmets tend to crack if you handle them roughly or when they get kind of old. Check it regularly for cracks in the foam.
