What is a great quick meal for a teenager?

i am 13, and my mom goes out some nights, and im stuck with pizza, or cheese microwaved on tortilla chips

If you want to spice up your nachos sprinkle a couple of pinches of cumin and chili powder over it.  Put a dollop of re-fried beans and/ or some precooked ground beef or chicken over it.  If you like onion, I love them, dice and sprinkle over the nachos.  Bake them in the oven at 350 degrees for approx 10 min.  While baking dice a tomato, chop up some ccilantro  Sprinkle these on top after baking.  Serve with salsa and sour cream.  Yum.  

    You or your parents could pre-cook several chicken b*****s ahead of time.  These are great for several applications such as teryaki chicken and rice, nachoes, BBQ chicken burgers, pastas, etc.  All you need to do is re-heat.  

    Planing and preparation go a long way to making great meals.  Just remember don't be a complainer.  Talk to your Mom and tell her how you feel about your current choices.  Let her know you would really appreciate something new and different.  Be willing to help and learn to do some or all of the cooking.  I think you will be eating great in no time. Oh and don't forget the fruit and veggies.

  8. Ask your mom to take you to the grocery store. Look for 5/10 minute microwave pasta dishes, macaroni and cheese (Easy Mac) and maruchan raman. Also go to the frozen food aisle and look for things that you can microwave that are more of the meal type. Also check out lunchables and try heating hot dogs in the microwave. Also check out soups and spaghettios.

  10. Pasta Bolognese, you can buy some pasta cook them in olive oil and salt. For the sauce just buy the ones in glass containers and pour it into a saucepan and heat it.

    Serve the sauce over the cooked pasta.

  12. That's killer stuff at your age that will manifest itself in the years to come ! Sounds sucky...but the truth is that you need to "graze" on veggies and fruit...do as the Romans did and try grapes !

    The best thing however is to try and eat your 3 meals a day and then stop ! Breakfast comes from the 2 words "break" and "fast"...Fast means not to eat so going to sleep with just food that appeazes your craving will just make you put on weight !

    If you are meaning what you should eat for supper...then try salmon sandwiches, salads,things like that which get you away from the "quicky cheeze" dishes ! My best advice is to get in touch with an adult at school and get some recipies that are within your control !

  15. Paella! its really easy! Get a wok out, make up a vegetable stock cube (read the instructions.you just boil the kettle, crumble the stock cube into about a pint of boiling water) and pour that into the wok. Keep it on a low heat. Then add some rice, so the rice is boiling in the wok in the vegetable stock. Then just chop up whatever you look to add to it. Peppers, tomatoes, ham, chorizo, salami,etc. The rice will take about 10-15 minutes to cook (it will turn soft) If by this time, there is still loads of water, turn the heat up high, keep stirring, until the water has evaporated and is more like a sauce. If while cooking, it becomes too thick, add a little bit more water.
