I want to know what kind of airfare sites there are out there...that can also search for flights to fnd the best possible fare...thanks

http://www.bookingbuddy.com will check them all for you -- including Kayak, Travelocity, Priceline, Orbitz, airlines direct, consolidators, aggregators, site-scrapers, etc. etc. all with just 1 input of your cities and dates.  It's a great site to find and search for airfares.

The best and cheapest is Travelocity.com,..&  they offer a ton of other goodies too

If you ilike a certain airlines and see it a Traveocity then you could try and go to that particular airlines web site and search again to see if they have a better or more flights,...+ they are global/international
