  1. A Physical Therapist. All you have to do in that field is asses people and reccommend them excercises etc.

  2. You will get used to the blood very very quickly. like a few weeks. Plus when people are bleeding that's the time they need you the most. Also considerer nursing there is always a shortage and you could work in a doctors office

  3. Pharmaceutical. there is no blood in pills. <}:-})

  4. Examples of non-patient contact careers include health information (medical records) technician (or manager), pharmacist, registered dietician.  Jobs such as medical billing and coding (and medical transcriptionist) are also non-patient contact jobs, but there are not supposed to be too many job for the medical biller or coder (not sure about transcriptionist but please don't get roped into those 'work at home' jobs for MT ;)

Jobs such as physical and occupational therapist don't generally deal with blood but may work with those that have wounds (including decubitus ulcer/bed sore when patient is not properly repositioned by staff in bed or chair) especially PT and PT may perform wound care as part of treatment.  The respiratory therapist may deal with sputum (mucous) though not sure about blood per se.

For general career info:  http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'medical records and health information technicians', 'pharmacists', 'dieticians and nutritionists' or such.

For accredited programs in dietetics:  http://www.eatright.org

  5. Psychology

(Not Psychiatry, as Psychiatrists are MDs, having graduated from medical school, which does mean blood.)

  6. Basically, your are looking for medical support fields which are not involved in the invasive type of work / or viewing it - thus the emergency room is automatically out - cutting / mending / banding/ surgical / etc. You are looking for areas such as therapist (physical / occupational / etc.) , psychologist, audiologist,  social workers, medical transcriptions, medical billers, executive or management of medical facilities. These are the types of positions that usually deal with you after all the blood related things are done.

Also, areas such as an optometrist (eye doctor / fits the glasses or correctional lenses) or their technician - or pharmacist (filling medication) or their technician.

  7. You could get into the health and nutrition field.  A nutritionist doesn't see any blood or wounds but helps people lead happy healthy lives.

  8. Anything respiratory, like a respiratory therapist...or maybe a physical therapist.

  9. dietitian, nutritionist

  10. I just saw a commercial tonight that asked this question.  It was for a school that teaches medical billing and coding and medical transcription.
