What is a high quality program for making posters?

I don't really care about the cost. I want a program that will take one picture (one that would normally take up one page or paper) and blow it up to make it into like 5-6 pages that I have to tape together

Adobe Potoshop is the best software used buy all photo editing artists. You can enlarge a picture and divide it by sections effortlessly.

Gimp is similar to Photoshop and free too (http://www.gimp.org/).
