What is a hobby that is NOT popular where you are from and where are you from?

California and I have noticed no one out here collects hand carved and painted ducks.  This was a big hobby particularly among hunting men in the midwest and I used to see all kinds of them at craft shows back there (and wondered why it was such a big hobby).  I also notice quilting isn't a big hobby here in SoCal as it is in the midwest, but you can go just 2-21/2 hours away into the desert near the airforce base and it is.  They have quilting groups that make baby quilts for every family that has a new baby at 29 Palms.  It is very sweet.
