A noun referring to a specialist in Horticulture.

“Horticulture vs. Botany” websites (gee, you’d think there would be tons.)  I went to dictionary.com and got simple definitions for both. There is a lot more to it than this, but let’s just say horticulturists work on/improve/cultivate plants, flowers, trees, etc. and botanists study/analyze/dissect plants, flowers, trees, etc.

.More specifically a horticulturist is a person who is trained in growing and caring for plants.  A Botanist, conversely is a person who studies how plants grow such as their physiology and the relating chemical processes etc.  This is a simplistic definition but covers the basic premise.
