  1. Used to be HGV, as in Heavy Goods Vehicle. Its a driving licence class. Now its HR as in Heavy Rigid, i.e. not an artic.

All got reclassified some few years back now.

  2. What do you mean? More details please.

  3. HR..... is a liscence class, meaning heavy rigid

  4. A Truck Driver.

  5. Is this what you're after?

HR Class licence is one that covers:

Heavy Rigid Bus (more than 8 t GVM with more than 2 axels)

Heavy Rigid Truck (more than 8 t GVM with more than 2 axels)

Articulated Bus (more than 8 t GVM with more than 2 axels)

The classification is the same across Australia I believe.

    Next is:

HC class - Heavy Combination (rigid truck or prime mover more than 8 t  GVM towing one trailer or semi-trailer.)

MC class - B-Double (prime mover towing 2 semi-trailers, with one semi-trailer supported at the front, and connected to, the other semi-trailer.)
