  1. Hybrid combines gasoline engine and electric motor so that it can supplement each other and get better mpg

    Good Luck...

  2. A hybrid car is a vehicle that runs on a combination of electricity and fuel.  The car will use fuel to a certain speed/rpm and then it will switch to electricity to save fuel.

Its a handy dandy way of conserving fuel.

  3. A hybrid car means that the car is built with a traditional gas tank and also with a charged battery.  If the battery runs down you can switch to the gas tank so you don't get stuck out in the middle of nowhere, and when the gas tank runs out you can switch to the battery.  A "hybrid" anything is two things in one.

  4. Theres two motors, a gas motor and electric motor to drive the car.

  5. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/hybrid-car...

Can't explain it any better than this

  6. part fuel, part electric

  7. a hybird car means it runs on something besides oil

  8. Hyrbrid cars, such as the Toyota Prius, run on both gasoline and electric power.  For example, like most cars, when you press on the accelerator you move forward and gasoline is consumed.  However, when breaking, electric power is stored [due to friction, i believe] and it recharges the car battery if I am correct.  Prius' are great cars!

  9. A hybrid car is a vehicle that uses two or more distinct power sources to propel the vehicle. Common power sources include:

On-board rechargeable energy storage system (RESS) and a fueled power source (internal combustion engine or fuel cell)

Air engine and internal combustion engines

Human powered bicycle with electric motor or gas engine assist

Human-powered or sail boat with electric power
