It's an engine that can run off of gas and electric. I don't know how it works but it run off of electric power until you hit about 25-30 mph and then switches to gasoline. The best hybrids IMO are the Toyota Prius, Honda Civic hybrid, and the Ford Escape hybrid.

Hybrid Cars use more than one source of power, for example a gas engine and a electric motor. As the electric motor steps in you save precious fuel. Thus hybrids contribute towards saving fossil fuel. But there is a debate on about hybrids. They also generate non-biodegradable waste like batteries. These will continue to pollute. Nonetheless with soaring fuel prices buying hybrid cars is a good option.

cant you surch in iternet yaar.well these are the cars which works on duel fuel like peteol & hydrogen etc. in India these cars are not common but keep patient Tata is in a way to arive with one such car perhaps in 2010-11
