What is a intelligent but easy-to-read introduction to the rules of baseball?

I grew up with a baseball-loving family but when I was a kid I decided I did not like it (and no one encouraged me, given that it was the early 60's and girls were not usually into sports). In the last 5 years I have really become a fan, but I often have very basic (dumb) questions!

There is no such thing as a stupid question. You can just ask questions and you will get answers. But there is no real short version of the rules. Unless you buy a kid's guide to baseball or something
