  1. A kayak is like a canoe. i am not an expert though so dont know the exact difference

  2. A kayak is a small HUMAN-powered boat. It typically has a covered deck, and a cockpit covered by a spraydeck. It is propelled by a double-bladed paddle by a sitting paddler.  Modern kayaks come in a wide variety of designs and materials for specialized purposes. Kayaks are in some parts of the world referred to as canoes. but -I HAVE NEVER HEARD  OF A MOTORIZED KAYAK!

  3. i'd imagine you'd class it as a rowing boat.... if the only two options are that and a otor boat.

although, you could do more damage to yourself in a kayak so lean forward and paddle like f**

  4. a kayak is either a 1 or 2 person little boat. there are 2 types: saltwater kayaks & freshwater kayaks.

a kayak is not motorized. you paddle with oars.  the oars for kayaking have 2 fins instead of one like a regular oar.

kayaking is soo much more fun that canoing too!

  5. You are asking a legal question but getting a bunch of encyclopedia answers.

Different states may class it in different ways but that may not even matter.

Different insurance companies may treat them differently.  To get an accurate answer, you need to contact your insurance agent.
