  1. You should be able to get the Canon XTi or the Nikon D60 for that price now.  Theyre both excellent digital SLRs. I lead toward the Canon myself.

  2. Like link said those are the best DSLR in the price range you are speaking of. I only replied also to cast a vote for the Nikon. But as said both are good and you'll not go wrong with either
