What is a koch infection?

if you have been diagnosed to have this and was treated already, is there any possibilty that it will reappear? is it contageous>?

  1. the first answer is correct, but with one addition on my part.  

    If it is TB infection then it is not contagious.  if it is TB disease it is contagious.  Both can be treated and yes both can reappear if you are exposed to the disease again.  

    Koch was the name of the person who discovered the cause of TB, the Mycobacterium tuberculosis.  


  2. "Koch infection" is tuberculosis.  Tuberculosis results from infection with 'mycobacterium tuberculosis'.

    Because it is a bacterial infection, if you are exposed to the bacterium responsible again, no one can say that you wouldn't get it yet again despite being treated recently.

    Unfortunately, tuberculosis can be contagious. :-(
