  1. A device that holds the bullets the weapon fires. The amount of bullets a magazine holds varies from weapon to weapon. Another popular name for a magazine is the "clip" which usually applies to the magazine in handguns (pistols). Have you ever watched a war movie where the guy runs out of bullets and pushes a button the side of the gun and the "magazine" falls out and he replaces it with another one, c***s the gun and off he goes again?

  2. :D It's very simple.  A magazine is like a clip, it holds rounds.  i.e. The standard M4-A2 I use has a holds 30 5.56 rounds.

    A round is a projectile (bullet).
