One of the things that I learned early in life is:

"When you do something right...no one remembers,

And when you do something wrong...no one forgets!"

  1. you have to make mistakes in life to learn the right way to do things. advice can only do so much! unfortunately i made lots of mistakes and almost ended up in jail, but now im almost qualified as an electrician and im better for it because i know i wont make those mistakes again! My brother on the other hand who didnt make mistakes when he was around 18, 20 yo is making them now at 27yo!

  2. Well, one that I'm finally learning right now is to not worry so much about what other people think of me and my choices.  I'm the only one who has to live my life, not them.

  3. hookers are people too

  4. Not to do it again

    hahahahaha

  5. That things pass.  I was told growing up that "This too shall pass."  It does.

  6. don't depend on other people.

  7. I have learned that everything - good or bad that has happened is always for a reason.  Somethings don't make sense until years down the road,  but everything is a learning experience.

The biggest lesson I had to learn which took me 45 years to get too was similar to a previous post,  Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him,

and he will make your paths straight.

It's a magic formula that works!!!

  8. not to ignore the red flashing light in my head.  it goes off when something is about to go wrong/bad happen.  some people call it intuition or even second sight

  9. Mom is usually right and it's great to have a rich uncle.

  10. Great question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I thought I knew what I could do to make my life happy and fulfilling, but found out I didn't know.  The choices I made left me lonely, empty and unsatisfied.  I learned to "lean not on my own understanding".  Since then, my life has never been so wonderful!

  11. life sucks then ya die.

  12. It's funny really. You only have to hear a criticism once and you will remember it for all time. Yet people can praise you until the cows come home and you will still feel inclined to wonder whether they really mean it. You already know that a recent choice has been wise. Yet a part of you remains unsure. You continue to fear that you have been foolish - not least because the words of a judgemental individual still ring in your ears. It is time to be strengthened and to be supported. Events, should provide you with a convincing kind of reassurance that has so far eluded you.

  13. Mine is simple. Do stuff. When you have the chance to do something fun, enjoy yourself, and do something unique, do it.

  14. i lost both my parents 8 months from each other in 03/04. i learned not to take your parents for granted there is so many other questions i would have liked to ask them. you blow them off when they talk about things then later in life you see what they were talking about and how it relates to something you are going through and then youre like "oh now i get it" just because your parents have already been through it and your like no never going to happen.. then it does lol..

i wish i would have had more respect for them and not talk back to them when i was a kid.
