  1. It is a government where everyone in the entire society is considered to be part of the government. "The people" are the government. Because of this, all businesses are also part of the government. The way the businesses are run and what they produce is decided by "the people". "The people" and their opinions can be represented by an individual the people appoint to run the society, a committee they appoint, or by direct democracy. Any individual or committee is supposed to do whatever is in the people's best interest without oppressing any of the people.

It promotes communal collectivism. Everything is shared. There is no private property. Any food the people produce is distributed equally among the people. In a true Marxist government, there is no currency. People are given what they need. Any extra is shared equally. The ultimate goal is to promote equality of possessions. It is THE MOST EVIL form of government ever created.

The person below me is technically referring to state-controlled socialism. This has similarities to applied communism which is also EVIL but is not true Marxism. He's also wrong when he states that Marx had good intention. His government system is based on getting more for yourself regardless of personal merit. It's based on taking what the rich have simply because the poor want it. It also calls for a violent upheaval.

  2. Well, here goes:

A Marxist or Communist (and in some circle Socialist)government is of the belief that the economy should be controlled by the government in order to ensure that everyone gets an equal share of the wealth.  Natural resources are owned by "the state" or government and the labor to exploit these resources is divided equally among the population.  The price of goods and services is determined by the state as well.  It is also known as a "control economy," meaning everything is controlled by the state.  Although Marx had every good intention, the successors that tried to implement his theories ultimately failed.
