  1. Don't listen to the person above me please.  The min bet is whatever the big blind is.  That simple.

  2. Minimum bet. Minimum raise that you are placing on top of another already placed bet. Usually minimum bet is starting at $50.00. For example let's say there is John Doe and Jack. Jack already put $150.00 in the pot at the start before the flop. John Doe feels he has a good hand at the start. He decides to raise the $150.00 that Jack through in at minimum. The minimum John Doe raises it to is $50.00. Therefore the rest of the group would have to be throwing down $200.00 before the flop.

This can happen at any time of the game.

Simple as that . I hope i Helped.

  3. In most cases a min or minimum raise is just double the previouse bet, so when someone infront of you bets say $3 the min raise would be $3 more for a total of $6. this is usually a very small raise, mostly normal raises consist of 3 or 4 times the size of the original bet, hopes this helps

  4. Usually the big blind is the size of the min bet/raise in no limit. Or in limit poker it is set prior to the onset of the game.

  5. The minimum raise in a No LImit Holdem Game is the amount of the Big Blind.

For example, if the big blind amount is $20, the minimum raise you can make is to $40, which is $20 to call the BIg blind, and $20 to raise the big blind. When you wish to raise, you say "Raise" or "Raise, $40" and place the total amount of $40 in the pot all in one motion.

Do NOT say call the BB, or call $20 and Raise $20, this is a string bet and is not allowed.

    Good luck!

  6. in no limit hold'em the minimum bet is not set neither is the maximum bet so you can raise the minimum bet instead of calling it is basically like raising the pot but if you raise the min everyone will either have to call your bet or fold.

  7. most of the answers i have read so far are pretty much correct. the min bet/raise is what ever the big blind is. doesn't matter if before or after the flop, turn, or river. one thing to think about to is after the flop, turn, or river the bet can be anything a person wants to bet - in no limit- and the min raise would then be whatever the first person bet. say blinds are 10 (sb) and 20 (bb) so the min raise before the flop is 20 making a total of 40 the person puts into pot unless it gets raise3d again. after the flop say someone bets 100 then the min raise would be 100 making it a total of 200 for player 2. all you have to do is remember what ever the bet is the min raise is that same amount.
