What is a ministry charter?

A charter is issues to a ministry by the denomination or parent group.   For ex our ministry is Caring Hands Ministries and our charter was issued through The Missionary Church International. it is basicly an indication of affiliation with that group.    As a prayer group a charter may not be needed unless for some reason you are seeking nonprofit 501(c)(3) status.  If you want to do that you will need to incoprporate as a nonprofit corporation in the state of GA.
