  1. It means it's been in 1000 races.

  2. the 1000 is in reference to the size of the inside of the engine... it is known as the displacement.. so the 1000 is actually 1000 cubic centimeters.... have u ever herd of a chevy 350 or 327 and such.... in those cases its cubic inches...

If u look on Howstuffworks . com and look up engines they have really cool pictures and explanations to how engines work... its easy to understand and once u understand that u will understand exactly what displacement is.....its basically how much space is inside the combustion chambers where the air and gasoline get sucked into in total...

in answer to ur second question... 1000cc (cubic centimeter) engines are common in lots of motorcycles as different motorcycles are offered with different sized engines... like some are 600cc 650cc 700cc 300cc basically any size that people want to make... but the more displacement the more power.

so ur bf can have a yamaha r1 1000 or a suzuki gsxr 1000 or a honda cbr 1000 just about any bike in that size... even harleys....

those same bikes  can also come with smaller engines.

  3. 1000 cc is the engine size.

    a 50cc to a 150 cc is considered a scooter.

  4. Hey Justi

Yes - he's got a big one, I hope he knows what to do with it!

  5. it is referring to the engine size, not the make.....

  6. He is meaning the engine size or CC.

Also, this type of question is better asked under the NON Racing section which can be found under the Transport section.

    Many thanks.

  7. yes it could be honda, kwaka etc, the 1000 is engine size 1000cc  cubic centimeters  or one litre, hope that helps.

  8. I think he means 1000 as in 1000 cc's. That's refering to the bike's engine power.
