  1. Three basic types of reel, fixed spool, centre pin and multiplier. Multiplier so called because the spool revolves faster than you turn the handle, otherwise known as bait casting reels. Quite difficult to master casting with them, but once the skill is aquired they are really useful reels.

  2. Its a fishing reel mainly used for boat fishing but can be used for Pike.

    Hope this helps

  3. All a multiplier reel is, is a reel where the spool is mounted between the two sides.  It's essentially a "baitcaster," but more frequently it's used to refer to the "round" baitcaster style (ie. Shimano Calcutta, Abu Garcia Ambassadeur) as opposed to the low-profile ones.

For fly reels, there is such a thing as the "multiplier" fly reel.  That's refering to fly reels that have gearing that allows for ratios for line pick up.  Basically, it's a fly reel that has a gear ratio rating (like 2:1 or 3.4:1), as opposed to a 1:1 ratio, like other reels (baitcasters/spinning etc.) do.

I'm not sure how to answer the second part of your quesiton....sorry.  It doesn't exactly make sense to me.
