What is a nice champagne around 100 - 200 a bottle?

Question

I'm looking for something to buy for my boyfriends birthday and i want it to be romantic but i know nothing about champagne. I know he likes it so what would you suggest for around 100 - 200 for a bottle? Do regular liquor stores sell nice bottles or would i have to go to a special store?

you can find any of these at a regular liquor store.  take this list and ask the sales person to help you locate them.  =)

Why not the most famous of all Champagnes.

"Dom Perignon" by Moet and Chandon

The 1990, 1993 and 1995 if you can find them will be around the $200 limit.

Should be able to find later vintages in the $150 range.

Contact your local liquir store.  They usually do carry nice wines and some times even have wine tasting.  You can go pick one in person and sample one.  That is worth calling around for.
