  1. For what we are about to receive, thank God.

    Simple and to the point.  At this point in the day, the guests and wedding party are hungry and are ready to eat.

    Have fun.

  2. may this union be as strong a bond 50 years from now as it is this very day may they be blessed with all that is good and may bad be driven away life will throw you a loop here and there that may have brought you down when you were seperate as 2 beings but together you two can conquer all we wiosh the best for you both and may you forever look into the eyes of each other and feel the way you feel at this time

  3. God is good God is grace let us thank him for our plates with his hands we must be fed gives us Lord our daily bread Amen

  4. Lord God, Creator of the universe, Father of us all, we have gathered here around this dinner table to celebrate the love and commitment that have united __________ and _______ in a wonderful bond of marriage.  Bless, oh Father, this food that we are about to receive with grateful hearts as a sign of your continuous bounty and providence.  May your generous blessing descend also upon these newly married spouses, their families and friends present here at this joyful banquet.  We make this prayer with confidence in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.  Amen.

  5. Two to offer you (one light and the other deeper - use both!).  I also like the earlier one which I include again with an extra bit.

    1)

    Good food,

    Good meat,

    Good Lord,

    Let's eat.       Amen.

    and...

    2)

    For sumptuous food and tender roast,

    For the invitation from our gracious host;

    For (name), who (name) loves the most;

    Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

    3)

    For food in a world where many walk in hunger;

    For faith in a world where many walk in fear;

    For friends in a world where many walk alone;

    For family in a world where many are without

    For the love that (name) and (name) have for each other;

    We give you thanks, O Lord.

  6. I think it depends on the religious persuasion of the couple. Assuming that they're Christian, how about something like this:

    Lord, bless the marriage of (Name) & (Name) & bless this food which we are about to receive, in Jesus' name. Amen.

    It's simple & to the point.

  7. For food in a world where many walk in hunger

    For friends in a world where many walk alone

    For faith in a world where many walk in fear

    We give you thanks, O Lord. Amen.
