This past few months have been Very Tight for me, as far as $ is concerned. I want to go to my friend's wedding but I'm so embraced that I don't have the money to get him something nice. What should I do? Can you guys give me some ideas?

  1. a gift card for somewhere they would like to shop for their house or etc.. and a champagne and very good nice box of chocolate and a wedding card you telling them your best wishes etc..

  2. Look at their gift registry and pick something within your budget.  You can also split the costs with another guest.

  3. I know its tough buying gifts when on a budget. I do it all the time lol. Try this website:

    http://www.gifts.com/ideas/wedding

They have beautiful unique gifts and you can set your price range.

  4. If there is a registry, pick something off the registry that you can afford.

  5. I would just buy a nice scrapbook and get some wedding themed scrapbook pages and stickers.

  6. You can find pretty nice things at thrift shops sometimes. Might seem kinda cheeky but no one ever has to know except you. You could also scour sale racks all across your town.

  7. If he is a close friend i'd say 75 But if he's just a friend 50 and if you just know him 30

  8. Make them a scrapbook. Who can decorate all the pages...make pages for pictures of "pre-wedding events" the actual "wedding" do some for the "honeymoon" and then they can just insert the photos. Write them a handwritten note telling them how much they mean to you and you are so happy for them. If they are your friend they will understand you can shower them with money and they will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

  9. I am sure that your friends will just be happy that you are in attendance. Some of our friends could afford to get us big things, others got us smaller items off of our registry - we were just grateful that people were there to share the day with us.

I could try to find out where she is registered. I am sure that she has some reasonably priced items on there. If they don't then just get them a gift card for the store they are registered at. A lot of people do that.

Or, do you know how to sew? Knit? Crochet? You could always make them a nice throw blanket or comforter. That always makes a good gift.

Don't worry - whatever you get them I am sure will be fine. If they are good friends then they will just be thankful that you were able to attend.
