I found Meersburg to be very nice. I would recommend it.

I stayed in Constance a small city on the Lake and stayed at a 5 star hotel, it was gorgeous and walking distance to the lake and we used a rental car to go hiking on the Mountains not more than an hour from the hotel!!

I highly recommend Bodensee!

Meersburg, Lindau and Konstanz are nice.

NOT: Friedrichshafen!

Friedrichshafen was totally destroyed during 2nd Word War. The new buildings there are so ugly. it looks like a city in the poor east of germany.

there are many nice towns...I liked Friedrichshafen and Konstanz
