  1. Yup that should be fine - I've worn velvet IRH helmets in my dressage classes before.  Right now I have a Troxel Grand Prix and it's a really nice helmet too.

    Unless you're showing at like Grand Prix level, basically any classic looking black velvet helmet will do (as long as it's ASTM/SEI certified, of course)!

    even if it cost more,

    I have always had the slimmer ones with no chin strap,

    some models are made for Jumping only, dont get those, its to bulky and seem to make your head look  2 sizes to big

    A international pro rider wold be nice get one with a removable chin strap !

    more stream lined would be nicer

    for Dressage

    Now when you start jumping of course you want the best

    and the heavier one Don't care how you look,, your not judged on your helmet,, But safety is the key word there,
