I keep seeing real estate ads say this. Do they mean non-egress windows?

  1. I think it means a room like a walk-in closet, which has no exit to the outside of the house.

  2. Not sure if that applies to rooms above ground.  But you are generally not supposed to have a bedroom in a basement unless it has extra large windows that are easy to get out of in the event of fire.  And it would be a good idea to have windows in any other bedroom that allow easy emergency exit.
