I sold something on eBay and the transaction says "Pending" in my account log. When I click "Details," it says the payment type is non-instant. What does this mean, and how long will it take for the money to show up in my account?

  1. 1. The buyer paid with an electronic check (or eCheck) and the system will display Pending until the check clears - usually in about three business days.

    2. A payment was sent with an unconfirmed address, and the seller needs to log in to PayPal to accept the payment.

  2. Thank you for 2 points!

  3. The person could have used electonic transfer to pay for it meaning it has to wire the funds out of their bank account into the world banking system and then accepted by paypal.  Until that is done (it takes a few days) it'll show pending.  Once the funds fully clear, it'll show that it's available.  Don't mail it out until it shows that it cleared!
