  1. The charge present on the nucleus of an atom is termed as its nuclear charge. It is always positive and equal to the no. of protons in the nucleus.

  2. Changes in atom's nucleus.

  3. Nuclear charge is the charge of an atom would have.

It is affected by the number of proton in the nucleus of an atom

When the number of proton increases, the strength of the nuclear charge also increase.

the increase in nuclear charge causes the nucleus to attract the electron including the valence electron more strongly. As a result, electron will be draw closer towards the nucleus and the atomic radius (which is the distance between the nucleus of an atom and the valence electron) will decreases.

However the atomic radius also being affected by the other factors, likes the screening effect and the number of electron filled shell.
