  1. In ca. it means that the parole dept. wants you held in jail. Usually this only happens after you have been arrested for a new crime that you could be released on bail!

  3. I expect that what in your area they call an order to pick up a parole violator. Remember that, when you're on parole, you're really still in prison - you're just allowed to walk around outside and give clean living a try. A parole detainer or warrant is usually an administrative order, essentially a notice from the prison system that they'd like to back with them.
