It's dark in the room.

The only light comes from the lamp at the side of the couch. I am stretched out fully along its length, my feet slightly raised on the arm at one end, my head cushioned by, well, a cushion, at the other. A plate of some snack or other is balanced precariously on my chest, and a drink (Juice on a good week, cold beer on a bad) lies within reach of my left arm, my right hand holds the book I read.

Stretched on the floor beside the couch, mirroring my posture and thinking that she's a person, lies the dog. The comfortable weight on my upper legs, occasionally digging his claws into my legs, is the cat.

It's late at night, upstairs the kids lie sleeping in their beds, knowing that in the morning I will be with them all day, whether it's at the park, or the movies, or sitting on the floor playing games.

She sleeps too, in our bed, her perfect from stretched out, taking up as much of the bed as possible. Strangely she admits that she doesn't do that when I’m gone, that she only takes up that much room when I’m home, but she smiles in her sleep, and I love to look at her for a while like that before I tiptoe down the stairs to the couch and pick up the book.

I can’t sleep of course, I don’t want to miss this, I cherish every day I get to spend with them, squeeze as much into each minute as I can, and when they sleep, I lie awake, thanking whatever it is up there that let me have this life for one more day, let me love and be loved, let me lie here, happy in the knowledge that my family sleeps safely above me, and happy that I am, for a few days at least, Home.

The back yard.  The sun is shinning, their is no wind.  The fountain is bubbling softly and I've got a beer in my hand.  No work, no money and no worries. And my wife is always there to enjoy it with me.  What more do you want?

I am Geography teacher and one day one pupil said to class that Barcelona is in Argentina.  I felt like I was in h**l.  I think perfect paradise is when a pupil puts all places in right countries.

BORA BORA. I don't know what the culture is of the people that live there. Maybe they eat trespassers. But it looks absolutely heavenly.

For me, as I know, A perfect paradise lasts only some moments.  And, this is good!!  Because in this way we get the motive not to lose it but to gain it again.  All this procedure towards a perfect paradise, is paradise itself.  This is safer and more than enough for me.   Perfection somehow scares me for being illusionary...

Satisfaction , believe me if u were satisfied about everything u have or happened to you and never complained , u'll always be happy , I mean if u can't reach happiness why wouldn't u make it reach u , that is the perfect paradise .

My perfect paradise would be a world/ place where you work only for the joy and altruism it brings, not for the incentive of money (or perhaps money is less of an incentive because pay is more equal among all jobs). A place where you have tons of leisure time because technology is so advanced that people don't have to be automatons and work excessive hours because owners of where you work have to make a profit by paying you less. This would be a paradise indeed, where people are no longer slaves by selling their labor power to "make a living."

To be somewhere anywhere.. with someone I love would be great.. because if I am in some place that is like super super nice.. beautiful but fill with people who I can not interact with... people who dont understand and love me... than whats the point of being there anyway?
