  1. Your permanent mailing address and city is your home address.


  2. It's your home address, one you stay at for a long time, not just the place you live for a short time as a student.

  3. It's usually where your folks call home; the one place that you can always fall back on.

  4. Yeah I'm seeing it alot too.

    Just put your parent's address.  Don't ever put your dorm/apt address because those are subject to change often, and it's a big hassle to go around and change them every few months.

  6. A permanent mailing address and city is a place where you can consistently get mail for a number of years.  For most college freshman, this would be your parents' home address as opposed to the address of your dorm/apartment at college.

    The goal is for the university/financial aide people to be able to reach you while you are gone on breaks, etc.
