  1. A physical change is a change that does not alter chemical structure, just it's physical state.  Like water freezing to ice, or nitrogen freezing to liquid.

Physical changes are generally easily reversible, where as chemical changes are more difficult.

  2. Simple answer:

there are 3 phases. Solid, Liquid and Gas. a Physical Change is a change between these phases that can be reversed.

Nitrogen does NOT freeze to a liquid. All Gas to Liquids is called Condensation. previous answer may have been thinking about Carbon Dioxide which has NO Liquid phase.

  3. physical change is a change in which it does change the chemical property of the compound. for example: tearing paper, melting an ice. in such cases, their chemical properties remain and only their physical properties are changed.
