What is a piece of drift wood with two little k**b-like things at the end of it?

I found this thing in my house and it looks weird and satanic. wtf is it? anyone know? please help..this house has had some previous oddness it it. so I would like to know if this object is some sort of beating stick for children or something weird..tell me please.

If yes then it may be a handmade base for taxidermy. Some taxidermists use drift wood for mounting water fowl or small mamals on. You can google taxidermy or drift wood base.

Why would your first guess be "some sort of beating stick for children"?

Maybe it's a beating stick for rugs.

Or a cane.
