What is a podcast????????

Question

i was looking at my ipod on itunes looking at the music and photos and it had a section for podcasts but i have no idea what that is? can u plz explain what it it and what its used for and how i can get one on my ipod ... THX so much in advance :D

A podcast is another name for any multi-media content that you can download to your iPod. Anyone can make a podcast of any length on any topic and put it on a server, like iTunes, so that other people can download it and listen to it on their computer or iPod.

A podcast is a show with episodes. There are audio ones that are like radio shows, and video ones that are like tv shows. Most of them are free.

Itunes will collect the epsiodes for you and you can listen or watch when you are ready.

To subscribe to a podcast, you can google any topic you like, and add the word "podcast" to your search. I guarantee there will be a podcast on any topic you like. Go to its website and there will be instructions for subscribing. Or, you can open itunes and then go to the itunes store and browse through the podcasts listed there.
