the poles of any body of mass (earth, sun) can be reversed because of gravity. meaning, the north pole and south pole on the earth have been switched around many times before. we see it on the sun. the gravitational lines get tangled up more and more as time passes and eventually, it gets so complex that the north and south are reversed-this happens every 11 years on the sun.
