I'm creating a server for a game. I'm almost done but when i try to do something (I'm not "exactly" sure what it is I'm doing) it asks me for my username and password. i enter them correctly and it asks me for my server and i enter that correctly.

the problem comes when it asks for a port. it has a default port but when i use that it says "error connecting to server".

i am told that i need to portforeward so i went to portforeward . com and

it has a bunch of guides on how to do it with different routers (of different companies) but it doesn't have verizon which is what i have.

so i need to know how to portforeward with verizon

  1. look around on your router ip address for a thing called virtual servers and then just type in the port you need forwarded

  2. Go to START, then RUN, then type in "cmd". A window should pop up. Type in "ipconfig /all". Numbers should pop up.

    What you need is:

    Default Gateway and IP Address.

Go into IE, then type in your Default Gateway Address in the Address bar. Login, then search around to find something called "Address Translation", or "Port Forwarding". If you find one of them, click on it. If you found Address Translation, click on the Port Forwarding Tab.

Then, add an entry. Select TCP Protocol, and enter in port "60282". Redirect the protocol to your IP Address, and Voila! You have a port forwarded (Port 60282). Okay!
