I thought prefabricated granite wasn't in slab form, but prefab slab is confusing. Can it be cut to customize?

  1. Thats what prefab means. You give them the measurements either for kitchen or bath counter top and they fabricate for you at the factory.Runs from $200 to 700. Here one website.

  2. Prefabricated granite slab are 26 inches wide by 8 ft, 9 ft or 10 ft long and already have the bullnose on two sides.  They are almost always cut smaller.  Island prefab slabs are 3 ft or 4 ft by 8 ft; to cover peninsulas or islands in kitchens.  These have bullnose on three sides and can be cut smaller and/or have the bullnose added to the forth edge to make a full island.
