  2. the prepositional phrase is "of the country".

a prepositional phrase is a phrase that starts with a preposition.

  3. Hi!

In that sentence, the prepositional phrase is "of the country" and "of" is the preposition.

Prepositions show the relationship between words...no, not the love relationship, but relationship in the sense of temporal relationships, spatial relationships, and certain qualitative relationships.

Being one of the oddballs who absolutely loves grammar, I have combed the internet for websites about grammar and language usage which are user-friendly.  My hands-down favorite is this one:  http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/

It's called the Guide to Grammar and Writing, and has a wealth of information ranging from the principle parts of speech to diagramming sentences!

  4. First off, do you know what a preposition is?  If not, then look it up in an English grammar book so you know what it is.  Once you do you will see the prepositional phrase near the end of the sentence.

For me to give you the answer will not help you understand it.  Learn it by seeking the answer will inbed it in your mind.

  5. Preposition is  "  of  "
