  1. why not check out diabetes.com and diabetes.org for recommendations on meal planning.  You'd be surprised at how normal you can eat with diabetes. You can eat bread, and rice, and potatos, even an occassional piece of cake, so long as the overall carbohydrate count is within your daily budget.

And diabetics are not immune or allergic to sugar.  why do people keep believing that ...

  2. the proper diabetic diet is you CAN'T eat fatty foods and you have to have special sugar because your body is immune to normal sugar.

    i hope i have helped.

  3. I absolutely agree that diabetics are "immune to normal sugar". Neither do they have to stop eating fat.

Type 1 diabetics are theoretically able to eat whatever they want because they can learn to inject appropriate amounts of insulin for the carbohydrates in the food. This is the underlying principle behind such education programmes as DAFNE in the UK ( http://www.dafne.uk.com/ ). In practice most T1s do manage their carb intake as it's easier to be more accurate when matching insulin to food intake.

Type 2 diabetics are often told to adopt the "healthy heart" diet, as they're more prone to develop heart problems. This is often a low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet. But this often fails to reduce blood glucose levels as much as many T2s would wish. In fact many diabetics and more modern medical thinking seems to be coming round to the notion that managing carbohydrates carefully can bring benefits to blood glucose while also maintaining a healthy heart.

So, in summary, there is no specific diabetic diet. In fact some so-called diabetic diets may be totally inappropriate according to those who believe in moderating carb intake.

Also, all the main diabetes orgaisations, as far as I'm aware, caution against foods labelled "diabetic" on the grounds that they often contain high levels of fat or fructose or are simply too expensive for no benefit.

  4. Avoid taking wheat, fruits containing  sugar. NO sweets, biscuits

creams and junk bakery foods. Walk regularly and do lot of exercises. Be in contact with your family physician  atleast once in 2 months.

  5. There is no perfect diet system for diabeties. The most u can do is dont eat anything thats sweet and especially banana, because banana contains a lot of sweet. Keep testing your blood and take the tablets. Do some exercise.

  6. avoid rice, drink more water, avoid sweets, traditional diet is good .consume roti.Take regular medicens prescribed by doctors.eat Amruthaballi an ayurvedic plant.Have two leaves a day .
