  1. A Public Service Announcement or PSA is simply information that is helpful to the general public.  It contains no product endorsements however if a product has been determined unsafe for public use, a PSA may be information warning against the use of such a product.

    An example of a PSA is, "Help keep America green.  Stop litter."

    An example of writing one would be:

    I know that anti-freeze is harmful if swallowed by an animal and usually will result in death.  So I would write:

    "When adding anti-freeze to you car, take care to clean up any spillage off the ground.  Anti-freeze has a sweet taste which attracts many animals but it is extremely toxic and deadly. Please protect our wildlife and pets by avoiding anti-freeze spills whenever possible."
