im only 12 just wondering exactly what it means and how much money do most mma female fighters make although i dont really care im still going to be a fighter anyway

The purse is how much $$$ the fighters stands to win for winning the fight. Usually the puse is split about 70% / 30%, with the higher amount going to the winner. The size of the purse depends on the importance of the fight / fighters. A championship purse could be upwards of 1 mil , while undercard fights are usually closer to the 200k range. As far as female MMA fighters pay scale, I dont know. Google it!!!

I don't follow too much MMA. I don't have a very high opinion of it. However, 'purse' probably refers to the total sum of money the winner receives or will receive.

A purse is the money you earn for showing up and fighting.  Small show fighters might get $50-100 a round scheduled and an incentive bonus like $100-150 if they win.  Female fighters likely the same.  If you do well in the small shows you may work your way up to higher purses.  

They should come up with something more macho than fighters trying to get bigger purses and to win belts and boxers try to win gloves.  ;)
