Recently I had an accident, and I was sent to the doctor to get an MRI, the lawyer told me that if there is no case, i dont have to pay..

The hospital, however, sent me this letter regaurding a medical lien, the hospital says that its just for their own protection so that they can get payed after the case gets settled.

I'm not sure if I should sign it,

Shouldn't the lawyer be signing it? after all, he's the one taking care of the case right?? 0_o ?

Please, help me understand how this works, Thank you!

  1. buy stock in MRI"s

  2. Do NOT sign anything unless your Attorney says it is ok...

  3. Take it to your attorney

  4.   by singing that letter your saying that you will pay if the other party's wont ,, dont sign that letter for no reason .. your lawyer should have said that to you .but dont sign that letter .if you dont sign it they cant touch you ..by you signing it .your giveing them the right to sew you .. dont do it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,good luck

  5. Don't sign anything.  Turn it over to your lawyer, and go about your business! I had an accident, and I got something similiar from my workplace. All it means, is, when the the case is over, and there is an award for the injuries, the hospital is just covering it's butt, and they will get their money for the MRI, along with the attorney, before you see any of the the money!  MRI's are very expensive, last time I had one, it was over $1800, not including any of the doctors you saw> When my case was closed, I reembursed the company the wages they  paid me while I was out! I could have used my vacation time, but decided to keep it! But, I don't understand what the attorney meant by "if there is no case" you don't have to pay!!! Of course you do!  One way or another! I think I would ask him to explain that to you!!
