What is a "Abiome"?

I found the defination already but i don't quite understand it's difference from a biome. Please explain.

  1. Probably the space was dropped. It should read "a biome", there's no such thing as Abiome.


  2. A major regional or global biotic community, such as a grassland or desert, characterized chiefly by the dominant forms of plant life and the prevailing climate.

    Alternate definition:

    Any major regional biological community such as that of forest or desert.
