  1. A Black and White party is a formal dress party when guests are required to wear black or white, no color allowed. The original Black and White Ball was held in 1966 by Truman Capote at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. It was hailed as "the party of the century" and is easily researched online. There were a lot of famous people invited-and even more important, a lot of famous people snubbed and not invited.

  2. The entire theme of the party is black and white. So everyone must wear black & white, the decarations must all be black & white, etc.

  3. Everyone wears black & white;  all the decorations and food are black & white.  The intention is that, hopefully, people will come dressed up (tuxes are black, with white shirts)..... It's a new, trendy idea

  4. The Theme is kind of old but very cute! Everything (notice EVERYTHING) must be Black and White so on invitations also be sure to write the theme! Good luck on your party and I hope this Helps!
