What is a "Little Pet Shop Animal"?

My cousin in America is turning 8 in a couple of months and has said that she'd love a Furry stuffed Little Pet Shop Animal for her birthday. Now, I live in Australia and I've never heard of these, are they specially American or are they only in particular Australian stores?

They're called Littlest Pet Shop; 80's toy of cute, realistic animals in handbag/pocket sized playsets.

Now they're a anime-esque reinvention owned by Disney; 99% are bobble-head toys, look like c**p, and are in no way educational (the originals had info about the animals, how to care, endangered species info, etc). They're world wide, Toyworld in Australia :)

I reckon find a Little Pet Shop Animal online store and find one off there. Don't we have Littlest Pet Shop here, cause i have lots of that stuff. Buy her a normal soft toy and maybe she wont know the difference.
